The case raises a conflict of laws issue.
What is before us is an appeal from the decision of the Court of Appeals[1] modifying that of the Regional Trial Court, Camarines Sur, Branch 35, Iriga Citydeclaring respondent Alicia F. Llorente (herinafter referred to as Alicia), as co-owners of whatever property she and the deceased Lorenzo N. Llorente (hereinafter referred to as Lorenzo) may have acquired during the twenty-five (25) years that they lived together as husband and wife.
